Greek PM: "Give half of your salary for the fight against COVID-19"

ATHENS. The Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis has asked all ND MPs and Ministers to put 50% of their salary into a special coronavirus account for the next two months.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis asked the ND MPs and Government Ministers to demonstrate their solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Prime Minister asked them to deposit 50% of their salary in a special coronavirus account for the next two months.
As he said in his post on Facebook: "Just as the Government took bold measures against the pandemic so the country's politicians have to stand in the front line of solidarity..."
In his post Kyriakos Mitsotakis concluded by saying that he hoped the other political parties would follow this example.
