CORFU. The wife of the 62-year-old Corfiot who was tested positive for coronavirus is in isolation at home and a PCR test has been carried out and the results are being awaited.
The Corfu businessman had come from Belgium about ten days ago and symptoms appeared after about two days. At first the symptoms were mild but then they got more severe and he went to hospital, where he was diagnosed with viral pneumonia.
On Sunday morning the bad news came back from the liquid biopsy lab at Ioannina University Hospital showing that he tested positive for coronavirus.
Given the justifiable concern that exists, police sources have said that all travellers who have come to Corfu, especially those from abroad, have been given instructions to stay at home for two weeks as the guidelines state. Adherence to the measure is being monitored.
