XANTHI. The first death from coronavirus in Xanthi was announced on ERT - taking the total in Greece up to 21.
The elderly man was from the Municipality of Miki in Xanthi.
Statement from Xanthi General Hospital:
"It is with sadness that Xanthi General Hospital announces that a patient from the Municipality of Miki who was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 has passed away. The hospital management and personnel offer their condolences to his family and friends."
