KASTORIA. The positive test results came back after the death of the 70-year-old.
The 70-year-old who died yesterday (18/3) had been tested for coronavirus and the positive results came back after his death.
This is the third fatal case in Kastoria and there is manifest anxiety in the area. The man's wife is hospitalised at Kastoria Hospital but has tested negative to coronavirus.
The 70-year-old lived in a village in Kastoria - not one of those that have been quarantined but in a neighbouring village - and people are anxious as there is fear of the uncontrolled spread of the virus.
On 16 March the Government prohibited entrance and exit to and from the villages Damaskinia and Dragasia due to the spread of coronavirus. Police patrol cars ensure that only vehicles with food and medical personnel pass.
