108 violations of the no-smoking law in the Ionian Islands

CORFU. Checks being carried out in the Ionian Islands on the implementation of the no-smoking law.
Teams comprising police officers from Zakynthos, Cephalonia, Corfu and Lefkada along with health authority officials have been carrying out checks to ensure the implementation of the no-smoking law since it came into force.
The ongoing checks, which aim to ensure that the public health no-smoking law is enforced, are being carried out in cafes, bars and restaurants as well as public services public and private vehicles.
A total of 108 violations have been found - 12 in Cephalonia, 54 in Corfu, 23 in Zakynthos and 19 in Lefkada.
The checks and inspections are continuing.
