CORFU. A crew from the Ionian Islands Regional Administration cut down bushes on the traffic island at Agia Ekaterini today.

It is vital that there be clear visibility at that point on Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd of traffic coming in the opposite direction as there will be more vehicles turning into the side road by the public beach now that plastic bollards divide the road at the Gerekou Island turn-off in Kontokali.

Nevertheless, drivers turning there need to be extremely careful as vehicles coming in the opposite direction are often moving at high speeds.
