Ionian Islands part of the GNTO stand at Brussels Exhibition

CORFU. After several years΄ absence, the Ionian Islands Regional took part in the Tourist Exhibition, which had over 100,000 visitors from 6 to 9 February.
The Ionian Islands Region took part in the Salon de Vacances 2020 tourist exhibition in Brussels, which had over 100,000 visitors between 6 and 9 February.
The Region was part of the GNTO stand after several years' absence. Brussels, in the heart of Europe, is an important international market as, apart from Belgian citizens, it has over 15,000 EU employees.

Deputy Regional Governor for Cephalonia & Ithaka Stavros Travlos represented the region at the stand. He had the opportunity to meet with important professionals from the global and Belgian tourist market as well as members of the general public and to hear their opinions of the Ionian Islands.
The Deputy Regional Governor also met with Greece's Ambassador to Belgium Dionysis Kalamvrezos, who comes from Zakynthos.
Mr. Travlos said: "In a constantly changing tourist market the Ionian Islands Region has returned to the Brussels Tourist Exhibition and is noting developments so as to be able to plan appropriately to place the Ionian Islands in their rightful position - right at the top."
The Region's stand was visited by a large number of people requesting information about the islands and tour operators. Representing Paxos were Pantelis Kouvas, President of the tourism and tourist promotion committee and Sotiris Sarkavazis.
The Ionian Islands Region stand was coordinated by Giorgos Papavlassopoulos, Supervisor of the Regional Corfu Tourism Department.
