Corfu representation at anniversary celebrations for Ioannis Capodistrias on Aegina island

AEGINA. Deputy Mayor for Culture Chrysoulla Tombrou represented the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality.
The Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality was represented in Aegina by the Deputy Mayor for Culture Chrysoulla Tombrou on the anniversary of Capodistrias' arrival and swearing-in on the island.
As part of the anniversary events the Capodistrias Network also met, with representatives from Famagusto, Aegina, Nafplion and Corfu. Elena Rapti, representing the Ministry for Culture, was also present at the meeting, where the immediate extension of the Network to include Lausanne and St. Petersburg was discussed.
Other topics at the meeting were the collaboration between member-towns through exchange of human resources and specific activities to strengthen the efforts to make Capodistrias' work and values better known - not only in Europe but internationally.
