Corfu 21% cheaper for British tourists this year

CORFU. According to Post Office Travel Money΄s Holiday Money Report.
Corfu is 21% cheaper this year according Post Office Travel Money's Holiday Money Report, which monitors the price of basic tourist items in popular holiday resorts. Corfu has the biggest fall in prices compared to last year in European resorts popular with Britons with the eight tourist items coming to £75.91.
Corfu is now 16th in the list of cheapest holiday destinations compared to 21st last year. The Post Office barometer monitors the price of eight tourist items – comprising a 3-course dinner for two with a bottle of wine, a glass of beer, a glass of wine, a can of coke, a cup of coffee, a large bottle of water, suncream and insect repellent.
Holiday Money Report has found that the basket of tourist items will be cheaper for British holidaymakers in 33 of the 42 destinations surveyed.
Sunny Beach, Bulgaria remains the cheapest for the third year running at £30.68 - 14% cheaper than last year. Marmaris, Turkey is the runner-up at £44.15 (- 2.4%) followed by Tokyo - the cheapest long haul destination - at £48.21. Cape Town has dropped to 6th place this year at £59.39 (+ 18%).
The highest prices are in the Seychelles with a total of £165.10 and the biggest fall (44%) is in Antigua at £70.51, lifting it up into 14th place. In Australia, which has benefited from the rise in the price of sterling, prices have dropped by 19% in Darwin (£118.96). At £98.85 Singapore has dropped by 18% and Jumeirah, Dubai has fallen by 16% and is £126.30.
