CORFU. According to the Federation (OASK), farmers are demanding farm roads, proper pesticide spraying, proper insurance (ELGA) compensation and more.
Members of the Federation of Agricultural Associations will be holding a protest on Tuesday 10 December outside Riglades Primary School.
The Federation statement:
"Even though people have become disappointed and indifferent and have given up protesting about policies that are hitting them hard, we are continuing because throughout history whatever poor workers have manged to gain has been through their struggle.
On Tuesday 10 December at 11:00 we are going to gather outside Riglades Primary School and then proceed to the South Corfu Town Hall. We will be shouting and we will be protesting about and demanding:
Farm roads, proper pesticide spraying, proper insurance (ELGA) compensation, the price of oil, the legislation that doubles the cost of OGA insurance and gives out a pension which is a pittance."
