CORFU. Corfu Inspectorate of Antiquities and AHEPA HJ-34 Corcyra are organising a musical evening ΄Musical Migration΄.
Friday 29 November
20:30
Corfu Archaeological Museum
The event, on the 1st Anniversary of the museum's reopening, is dedicated to the life and works of two Corfu composers who were part of the diaspora - Alexandros Grek and Lavrentios Kamilieris.
There will be a talk given by the musician Spyros Rouvas and a performance of works by the two great composers with the soprano Anastasia Fissa and baritone Pantelis Kontos accompanied on piano by Praxilla Botou.
It is a landmark event for both the organisations as it is the first time that they are putting on a tribute to Corfu composers from the diaspora. It was 100 years ago that Greek migrants set up the Diaspora Organisation AHEPA.
