CORFU. 1½ years after the positions were advertised the first of 5 permanent doctors for the hospital Emergency Department was appointed yesterday.
Hospital Director Phivos Kakavitsas announced that following the decision of the 6th Health Region Personnel Committee Konstantinos Nikas, who has worked at the department on rolling contracts for years, has now been appointed Department Director.
The Hospital Board congratulated the new Director and hoped that he will be able to successfully develop the Emergency Department.
