Independent stand for Corfu again at World Travel Market

CORFU. The World Travel Market has begun - the biggest travel trade show in the world and meeting point for all tourism professionals.
Just like last year, Corfu is participating in the Ionian Islands stand as well as with its own separate stand in collaboration with Corfu Chamber of Commerce.
GNTO President Angela Gerekou was at the show on the first day as was Ionian Islands Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa. Central Corfu Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and Deputy Mayor for Tourism Panayiotis Varouchas are arriving in London today and will be staying for Tuesday and Wednesday for scheduled B2B appointments, the most important of which are with Jet2 and TUI.
There will also be a meeting with a representative from a TV and Film production company - an area that Meropi Ydraiou is especially interested in developing.
