CORFU. "Madame Mayor seems to have her own agenda," said the North Corfu Mayor.
"She has overstepped the bounds of ethics and morality," was the angry reaction of North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris to the vote to rename the Central Corfu Municipality as "Corfiots and Diapontians". "They are treating us as inferiors. Aren't all the others Corfiots?" he said on the local Corfu TV channel, rebuking Meropi Ydraiou for not discussing the matter with the other two Municipalities - North and South Corfu. "I am going to oppose this using all means available. Madame Mayor seems to have her own agenda," he said.
