CORFU. The central message of the film is "Give a pet the opportunity to change your life".
On the occasion of World Animal Day, the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands is organising a special event with the screening of the animal welfare film 'Re-Action' at the Orfeas Cinema on Friday 4 October at 11:00.
Deputy Mayor for Culture, Sport and Primary Production Chrysoula Tombrou said that the aim of the film is "to educate, inform and raise public awareness about pets and their beneficial effect on vulnerable groups (children with special needs, the elderly, those suffering from depression, the visually challenged etc.)".
The central message of the film is "Give a pet the opportunity to change your life". All those who were involved in the production of the film worked without pay to help achieve the goal of raising public awareness about the living conditions of stray animals and the benefits that everyone can gain from animals.
