CORFU. The lab now has four specialists.
Another microbiologist was taken on at the hospital today for a new postion in the microbiology-biochemical laboratory - taking the number of specialists in the lab up to four. Microbiologists will now no longer need to be transferred from Corfu Health Centre, allowing the lab at the Health Centre to operate in the evening as there are 2 microbiologists there.
New Medical Examiner
A new Medical Examiner was employed on Friday - the previous examiner's term had finished 7 days earlier.
With these two positions filled the number of specialist doctors has increased by 27.5% compared to 1/1/2016 and the recruitment of another 22 new permanent positions is underway.
