CORFU. Yet again, the arrival of several cruise ships turns from a blessing into a curse - with locals who happen to be driving round the historical centre cursing the large numbers of coaches driving and parking there.
This has become a familiar sight. It is no coincidence that the recent serious accidents on the island, including one which was fatal, involve coaches - regardless of who is to blame in each individual case.
The frequent traffic congestion in town and the accidents on the main roads throughout the island are a matter of concern for all the local authorities.
