CORFU. With replacement patch donated by Corfu Metropolitan Church and Trade Association.

The defibrillator, which was a gift from the Hellenic-German Friendship Society to the Corfu Ambulance Service (EKAB) Workers' Union, is now back in place. It had been removed for safety reasons as the single-use patches had been used.

The defibrillator is not the property of the Ministry of Health but of Corfu Ambulance Service (EKAB) Workers' Union, who decided to place it in an outdoor location, making it more accessible to them and thus gain valuable time in life and death situations. However, when the defibrillator is used the union requires donations from organisations or individuals in order to replace the single-use patch.

The amount required to purchases new patches was donated by Corfu Metropolitan Church and the Trade Association and so the defibrillator was replaced in its former location outside the National Bank in Annunziata Square.

The Ambulance Service (EKAB) Workers' Union expressed its gratitude to Archbishop Nektarios and the Church, who have always supported them, and Corfu Trade Association for the second pair of electrodes.
