CORFU. The island΄s hot topic - rubbish - also played a leading role in the Carnival.
With a touch of black humour, the team from Garbage Art Corfu had been preparing carnival costumes for a while on the theme of 'beautiful' rubbish - recyclable materials, in other words!
Residents who were aware of the importance of recycling created some wonderful outfits for the Carnival. Plastic straws, aluminium cans, plastic bottles, bags and other items were carefully and imaginatively put together into carnival costumes!
