2,000 children visit Corfu historical sites on International Tourist Guide Day

CORFU. Corfu school pupils were given free guided tours on 21 and 22 February on the occasion of the International Tourist Guide Day.
The free guided tours were given by the Ionian Islands & Western Greece Union of Tourist Guides who expressed their amazement at the numbers of pupils taking part!
A total of 2,066 pupils from throughout the island were given guided tours of the town's historic centre, the Old Fortress, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Asian Art, Antivouniotisa Museum, Solomos Museum, Mon Repos and the Achilleion Palace on the occasion of International Tourist Guide Day.
The Union of Tourist Guides gave warm thanks to all who took part in this year's successful effort and look forward to having an even greater number of pupils taking part next year.
