CORFU. For the 4th year running The Smile of the Child is holding a Family Volunteer Week at its Volunteer Creative Workshops.
For the week Monday 25 February to Saturday 2 March the charity is inviting families and their children to help by registering to work at the Volunteer Creative Workshops making handcrafted products with various materials and paints - offering their time and their smiles!
Families (adults and children over 7) can register at the Volunteer Creative Workshops in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Pirgos, Larissa, Tripoli, Halkida, Corfu, Kavala and Chania and Heraklion in Crete. All the products made at the Volunteer Creative Workshops by workers and volunteers go to the bazaars around the country as well as to the e-shop to support the organization's work and activities.
Those interested in registering to take part can fill out a form that will be available until 20 February. Each family can register to take part in one shift.
For the past 23 years volunteers have been the cornerstone of The Smile of the Child's and their contribution has allowed the organization's work to continue. Volunteers are involved in all the charity's work throughout Greece and cover basic needs - either with their specialist skills or with the training they receive.
The Smile of the Child is waiting for you - the charity's volunteers are a family!
