Green Spots to be set up in South Corfu

LEFKIMMI. It was clear at the recycling meeting organized by Lefkimmi Cultural Society that the cultural societies and organizations in South Corfu want to work together.
Apart from the 18 organizations from South Corfu members of the Alternative Workshop and 'All Together for Corfu' and representatives from Temploni Cultural Society were also at the meeting. Victor Dimoulis gave a presentation.
There was serious concern at the meeting and recognition of the importance of as many people as possible participating in the project. All the societies and organizations decided to work with their members and fellow residents to create Green Spots in the villages of South Corfu. Volunteers will organize sorting at source with four types of waste - paper, plastic, aluminium and glass.
