CORFU. For World Clean-Up Day - 15 September.
There will be a clean-up campaign this weekend for World Clean-Up Day on 15 September - when volunteers in 150 countries go out and clean up public areas.
Halikounas beach clean-up has been chosen by “Let’s Do It, Greece” to be part of a national campaign. This campaign, supported by the Laskaridis Foundation, will collect data on the condition of 15 beaches across Greece. The data will be used for research purposes by institutions such as HCMR (Hellenic Centre for Marine Research) and Universities. It will contribute to the care of the environment and the handling of pollution at Greece’s beautiful beaches.
Cultural Societies throughout Corfu will be organizing groups of volunteers for World Clean-Up Day.
