CORFU. "We must find a way out of the crisis - and this certainly doesn΄t include any form of extremism," he said.
The Mayor of Corfu Kostas Nikolouzos made the following statement regarding the injury to the 32-year-old man during the protest in Lefkimmi on Sunday.
"I would like to express my deep sorrow for the injury to the young man during the incidents in Mesorahi, Lefkimmi last Sunday.
It dramatically brings into focus the compelling need for cooperation in order to overcome the problem that is hurting the whole of Corfu.
The investigation into where responsibility lies for both this incident and previous incidents in Lefkimmi over the last few months is a matter for the responsible authorities.
It is the responsibility of all of us involved in any way to find a way out of the crisis - and this certainly doesn't include any form of extremism.
