Corfu organizations collecting supplies for wildfire victims

CORFU. The people of Corfu are requested to help in any way they can with donations of food, infant items and medicines.
The Workers' Centre expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the wildfires in Attica and its grief at the destruction and loss of property in the areas hat were hit.
We would like to ask the people of Corfu public to help in any way it can with donations of food, infant items and medicines. Various groups and organizations on the island such as the Regional Administration, the Municipality, the Chamber of Commerce, the Police, the Church and the Specal Needs Association are collecting basic necessities at the paviion in the Upper Square from Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 to 20:00. The basic necessities are as follows:
MEDICINE
Painkillers (Depon, Aspirin, Ponstan), antibiotics, spirits, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, sulfa powder, betdine, hexalen, cotton wool, gauze, bandages, bandage clips, ammonia, insect bite treatments, burn ointment, muscle pain ointment, cough spray or syrup, stomach pills, paper hankies, eye drops, nose decongestant.
FOOD
Food that doesn't need to be kept in a fridge and preferrably consumed immediately (tinned food, packaged croissants, biscuits, rusks etc.). Long-life milk that can be kept outside a fridge - e.g. evaporated milk, juices.
PERSONAL HYGIENE - CLEANLINESS
Toilet paper, kitchen paper, paper hankies, diapers, baby wipes, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and shaving cream, laundry detergents (washing machine and hand-wash).
