CORFU. Members of the public enjoyed a feast of colours and music at Corfu Old Palace on Friday night.
Sinies Cultural and Educational Society organized its 21st International Dance Group Festival - Sinies 2018.
The audience was enthused by the wonderful costumes and traditional dances in Friday night's event in the Colonnade of the Palace of St. George and Michael.
The following groups took part:
1. Ensemble folk Dance group ARAKS (Armenia)
2. Gero Axular Dantza TALDEA (Spain - Basque Dance)
3. Shanghai Little Star (China)
4. Traditional Dance Group - Heraklion Sports Club
5. Kassiopi Cultural Society
6. Sinies Cultural & Educational Society
7. 'Apollo' Choir - Sinies Cultural & Educational Society
The second day of the festival today, Saturday, will take place at Sinies Olive Press at 21:00. Admission is free. The event is under the aegis of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals (CIOFF) and the Club for Unesco Art- Literature and Science of Greece. It has the support of the Ionian Islands Regional Administration, Corfu Municipality, Corfu Chamber of Commerce, Corfu Federation of Tourist Accommodation Owners and Corfu Port Authority.
The event is dedicated to Save Erimitis.
