LEFKIMMI. Following the protest rally against the presence of riot police and the use of Lefkimmi landfill, protestors marched towards the river.
A large number of people attended the rally, which went off peacefully without any incidents or police intervention.
At about midnight, however, when the demonstration had finished, there were some minor incidents outside Lefkimmi police station.
According to police sources, unknown persons threw Molotov cocktails and stones at the police station, damaging some windows. There were no arrests but three people were detained.
Police are investigating these people's involvement in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
