Large turnout for the protest about the rubbish

CORFU. The rally with Corfu residents in the pedestrianised area in town to protest about the situation with the huge piles of rubbish was much larger than at any other time.
The seriousness of the situation was directly reflected in the intensity of the protest with demonstrators holding signs saying 'Enough is enough' and 'Corfu is dying'.
People of all ages and a lot of foreign Corfu residents started to gather from early in the evening and all the talk was about the rubbish and the fear of the negative repercussions for Corfu that this tragic situation will have.
There was then a march through town with slogans being chanted.
