Corfu Municipality Volunteerism Festival

The participating organizations and groups presented their work to the public as part of an effort to raise the awareness of the local community. There was also an opportunity to donate blood and whoever wished could have free measurements taken for blood pressure and diabetes.



The Deputy Mayor for Social Policies and President of Corfu Special Needs Association, Andreas Skoupouras, was present and told Enimerosi: "With this event and the 19 participating organizations we can see the better side of Corfu. These groups and organizations give battle on a daily basis because as the crisis worsens, more and more people need help and support".



The Volunteerism Festival was coorganized by Corfu Municipality Community Centre, the Community Cooperative 'New Horizons' and the NGO 'Equal Society - Equal Opportunity Society'.
