CORFU. Emergency spraying of piles of refuse with insecticides and fumigants in the districts of Corfu and Phaeaces, Korission, Lefkimmi, Meliteia, Achilleion, Parelion, Agios Georgios, Esperion, Thinalia, Kassopaion and Palaiokastritsa.
In the last 24 hours Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos has put forward emergency measures to spray the piles of refuse that have gathered throughout the island. According to the measures, the spraying has to be completed within 20 days of the signing of the contract, which has been budgeted at 28,500 Euros. The measures are now awaiting the approval of the Finance Committee at its next meeting.
