President of Parliament regarding the waste problem: We are listening to people΄s protests

Following the celebration parade for the 154th anniversary of the Union of the Ionian Islands with Greece, the President (Speaker) of Parliament, Nikos Voutsis, was asked by the reporter Spyros Ziniatis about the waste problem and Lefkimmi landfill facility.

Mr. Voutsis replied, "I would like to say honestly that I respect people and movements that fight for a cause. Sometimes they produce results - possibly good or possibly bad. We know what is happening, we are listening and support this kind of protest. We hear you."
