Ionian Islands Region present at American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) Conference

Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Spyros Galiatsatos, said the ASTA conference being held in Greece was of major significance.
In his press release he said, “The Ionian Islands Region participated in events at the American Society of Travel Agents conference in Greece. This is the major event of the year for Greek tourism and offers significant benefits to our country as the Ministry of Tourism has also said in its press release.

Apart from its financial participation and the attendance of Deputy Governor for Tourism, Spyros Galiatsatos, the Ionian Islands Region was also promoted in the following ways:
- A full page in the special conference publication to be distributed at all activities as well as to ASTA members in the USA (5,000 copies).
- A full page in the electronic edition of the special conference publication which will be distributed at the end of the event to all international members of ASTA/NACTA (50,000 members).
- Mentions in official conference announcements and press releases.
- Region’s Logo on the central roll-up banner at the conference and side events.
- Region’s Logo included in the special conference publication.
- Region’s Logo included in conference folder.
Of great significance, also, is the visit of about 20 American travel agents to Corfu. They have received up-to-date tourism information on USB from the Corfu travel agent Kiki Skayia (fedHATTA board member) who is escorting them.”
