Municipal Gallery: New Year cake and sale

With the start of the New Year, the Municipal Gallery is set to proceed with new projects and activities. At 12 noon they will be holding a double event – the cutting of the New Year Cake and a product sale.

The sale will include a range of products, from cards to bookmarks, with works from the gallery’s permanent collection. There will also be cards, bookmarks and rulers produced by children in the educational programme ‘One Saturday, One fairy tale’, as well as badges, magnets, wooden cases with water paints and of course books published by the gallery.

These products will now be available on a permanent basis, connecting art with everyday life whilst also providing visitors with ideas for gifts.

The aim is to develop a well-organized sales area with all types of products – prints, jewellery, accessories, toys and books – based on the gallery’s collections and exhibits.

The gallery will also present the Director of Corfu Hospital, Phivos Kakavitsas, and the Assistant Professor at the Ionian University, Petros Kostagiolas, with the books that have been collected for the hospital’s library.
