6th Corfu Beer Festival



The 6th Corfu Beer Festival will be taking place in Arillas from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 September with plenty of beer and big-name performers.


This year Corfu meets the Netherlands in a fabulous celebration of beer, gastronomy, fun, experiences and knowledge - an important cultural and social event on the island.

Admission is free on all days of the Festival

'The Smile of the Child' - School Bazaars



The Smile of the Child invites friends and supporters to visit the school bazaars being organised throughout Greece.

Come and bring in the new school year with a smile and support the charity's 14 Children's Homes.

Young and old will have the opportunity to learn about all the charity's activities and choose from a wide range of school supplies and other products at reasonable prices.

2-day Dog Show in Upper Square

Ioannis Salafountidis art exhibition at Corfu Art Gallery



The artist uses a variety of techniques and materials which, combined with his modern thoughts and views, lead to innovative compositions. The special shapes and colours create abstract forms which display the deeper meanings in the artist's works.

'CERN' Exhibition in the Municipal Theatre Foyer




The ΄CERN΄ exhibition will be held in the foyer of Corfu Municipal Theatre presenting CERN experiments and research into Elementary Particle Physics.

On display will be experiments that have taken place at CERN and research into Elementary Particle Physics with photos, posters and short videos. There will be guided tours until the exhibition ends.

Exhibition of Maps: "Corfu by the Great Cartographers"




Corfu Municipal Art Gallery is exhibiting some of the artistically and scientifically important maps of Corfu from its collection.

From Thursday 25 April the works of these cartographers will be on exhibition in chronological order, covering four centuries, allowing us to see the development of cartography from the 17th century Baroque period, when aesthetics dominated, to the early 19th century, when there was an almost complete absence of any decorative items.

The exhibition will display 15 engravings in the central room of the Gallery's Permanent Exhibition.

The talk is part of the Corfu Literary Festival, which is organised in Corfu at the end of summer every year.


The British writer Anthony McGowan will be speaking at the Capodistrias Museum on Sunday 29 September at 18:00.

Following the recent publication of his book 'How to teach philosophy to your dog' Anthony McGowan will be giving a talk 'Philosophy: Why does it matter?'.

The talk will be in English and will be followed by discussion.
