Road becomes a ‘swimming pool’!

CORFU. This morning’s heavy downpour once again led to the flooding of the road next to the National Sports Centre.
According to residents, the water coming down the drainpipes of the buildings can’t flow away via the storm drains in the road. As a consequence, every time there is heavy rain, because the road surface is also in poor condition, the water level reaches as high as the first steps of the buildings. God help anyone on a motorcycle or worse still, on foot…
