Marine Minister: Ferry services between the Ionian Islands from March
CORFU. At the recent Development Conference, the Minister of Marine and Island Policy, Panagiotis Kouroublis, announced new ferry services between the Ionian Islands, the signature of the MASTER PLAN for the port of Zakynthos and the assignment of a section of XZ at Corfu port.
Mr. Kouroublis was accompanied by the General Secretary of the ministry, Dionisis Kalamatianos and the General Secretary of Ports, Port Policy & Shipping Investments, Christos Lambridis.
While he was in Corfu, Mr. Kouroublis visited the port, where Commodore Kostas Lambropoulos and Commander Ioannis Kontostergios informed him that they were fully staffed and equipped. The minister also met with representatives from the Union of Port Workers and Coast Guards.
Following that, Mr. Kouloubris visited Corfu Port Authority, where he met the president and managing director, Spyros Stefanidis, and they discussed port operations and the initiatives that have been developed, spearheaded by digital upgrading. The minister also met with the Mayor of Corfu, Kostas Nikolouzos.
