Use of horse-drawn carriages strictly prohibited during periods of high temperatures

CORFU. First offence: Suspension of vehicle licence for fifteen days. Repeat offence: Suspension of vehicle licence for one month.
In view of the exceptionally high temperatures experienced in recent days, the public is reminded that the operation of horse-drawn carriages is strictly governed by the provisions of the Ministerial Decision "Procedure for the Issuance of Operating Licences for Horse-Drawn Vehicles."
According to the Ministerial Decision, the following temperature thresholds apply:
- Temperatures from 35°C to 39°C: The operation of horse-drawn vehicles is prohibited between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Temperatures above 39°C: The operation of horse-drawn vehicles is completely prohibited throughout the entire day.
Violation of these provisions carries the following administrative penalties:
- First violation: Suspension of operating licence for fifteen days.
- Repeat violation: Suspension of operating licence for one month.
