Cruise ship ΄Crown Iris΄ greeted with protest as it arrives in Corfu
CORFU. The gathered demonstrators, members of the Corfu Solidarity Initiative for Palestine, expressed their strong opposition to the ship’s docking, demonstrating their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Under heightened security measures, the cruise ship Crown Iris, which is carrying passengers from Israel, docked at the port of Corfu at 8:00 this morning.

From early in the morning, the port area resembled a fortress. The police forces had implemented an extensive security plan, both on land and at sea, aiming to completely prevent any possible incidents during the ship’s arrival and stay.

The ship’s arrival was met with opposition from the Corfu Solidarity Initiative for Palestine. Members of the Initiative had gathered at the site early in the morning, having organised a protest. Those gathered expressed their strong opposition to the ship’s docking, demonstrating their solidarity with the Palestinian people.



The authorities remain on alert for the entire duration of the cruise ship’s stay on the island.
