Music Festival 2025 at Mon Repos Theatre

CORFU. Under the auspices of Central Corfu Municipality, the Corfu Arts Foundation, and Gastouri Philharmonic Society.

A press conference was held on Wednesday morning regarding the "Music Festival 2025," which will take place from Friday, September 5, to Saturday, September 20, at Mon Repos. The organisers stated the following:

A series of events of high artistic value will be hosted at the Mon Repos "Rena Vlachopoulou" Open-Air Theatre  with the "Music Festival 2025." Between Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 20, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy five exceptional evenings of opera, jazz, musicals, choral, and classical music, featuring leading Greek and international artists, international collaborations, and unique performances.

The concerts are organised by the Corfu Arts Foundation, in collaboration with Gastouri "Omonoia" Philharmonic Society, and are held under the auspices of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands. Admission to all events will be free.

The Corfu Arts Foundation is a charitable organisation registered in the UK, with the aim of promoting the performing and visual arts in Corfu and supporting important initiatives related to them.

Gastouri "Omonoia" Philharmonic Society, the oldest philharmonic society outside Corfu Town, celebrates this year 127 years of continuous contribution. As part of the "Music Festival," the philharmonic orchestra, under the direction of conductor Spyros Rallis, will present a celebratory Opera Gala on Saturday, September 6.

Those present at the press conference included: Deputy Mayor of Culture Nikos Vradis, Chairman of the Board of the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Corfu Giorgos Lykissas, Chairman of the Board of Gastouri Philharmonic Society Giorgos Peratinos, Founder and Chairman of the Corfu Arts Foundation Richard Woods, board members Anastasios Diavatis and Christina Tzamala, internationally renowned saxophonist and professor at the Ionian University Dimos Dimitriadis, and journalist Marina Moschat, who will host the events.
