The pupils' sit-in at Kassiopi Junior High and High School in protest at the lack of school transportation ended on Wednesday morning.
The school was padlocked on Tuesday night (14/11), but the decision on whether to continue the sit-in or not was put to a vote this morning, with the majority of pupils deciding to end it.
Although the school is open, as of now (9:30 a.m.), no classes are taking place.
From the beginning of the school year until today, no school bus routes have been executed, as all of them proved unsuccessful in the initial process.
Their reassignment by the Ionian Islands Regional Authority was completed days ago, as well as the examination of the bids submitted by those interested in the 39 routes in question.
