CORFU. The Infrastructure Minister Kostas Karamanlis promised at his meeting with Mayor Meropi Ydraiou that the projects for the dams and the Othoni and Mathraki ports will proceed soon.
Water supply problem in Corfu to be resolved
CORFU. Mayor Meropi Ydraiou: “The first desalination plant in Chrysida is being put out to tender by the end of December. The large dam project has been approved.”

CORFU. With the question of the dams recently in the news, the biggest demand that Corfu will put to the Prime Minister is a solution to the long-standing problem with water.
Tender process now at final stage for solution to water shortage and for improved quality of water in Corfu
ATHENS. The news is, however, published with reservations (we have heard that work is going to commence on several previous occasions). This time the Ministry of Development has said that they have reached the final stages and by the end of the year the first stage of the Corfu and Paxos water supply project will have been tendered out.
