Miltos Tentoglou added another Olympic gold medal to his collection, as he won the long jump, bringing success to Greece once again.

The Greek champion was determined not only to defend the title he had won in Tokyo three years ago (with a jump of 8.41m in his sixth and final attempt) but to ascend to the top of the world in a commanding manner, and he succeeded, with his best jump being 8.48m, leaving no room for his opponents to challenge him.

The 8.27m in his first attempt put him in second place in the rankings, but it was just a warm-up for the 26-year-old, as it was followed by an impressive jump of 8.48m that put him in first place, ahead of his main competitors, Jamaican Pinnock (8.36m) and Italian Furlani (8.34m).

His third attempt was worse than the first two, with a jump of 8.24m, while in his fourth attempt he jumped 8.36m, which was the second-best jump of the final up to that point.

This was followed by a jump of 8.31m in his fifth attempt, and before making his sixth attempt, he celebrated winning the gold medal, as neither Pinnock nor Furlani were able to surpass him.

In his excitement, the 26-year-old champion's 6th attempt was invalid, bringing the final to a formal conclusion and proudly celebrating Greece's first gold in Paris and his second consecutive gold in the Olympic Games.
