Turtle found dead on Marathia beach

A large dead turtle was found on Marathias beach in South Corfu on Monday evening by the president of the Corfu Ecology Club, Spyros Mamalos.
He told us that it had apparently washed ashore after being struck by fishing vessels and was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Corfu Central Port Authority was notified by phone and email for further action.
