Quad bike overturns in Sidari
CORFU. According to reports, the large-capacity quad bike, which was carrying two people, veered off course and fell into an embankment.
On Monday afternoon, 7/10, the Fire Department was informed of yet another incident involving the overturning of a quad bike in Sidari.
According to reports, the vehicle, which was carrying two people and had a large engine capacity, veered off course and fell into an embankment, resulting in the injury of a woman who was thrown off and tumbled into the bushes.
Two fire engines with five firefighters from the Thinalia station rushed to the scene, where they used makeshift tools to free the man who had been trapped under the vehicle, as well as the woman.
The victims are a British tourist couple, who sustained minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to a nearby medical centre, where they received first aid.
