Motorcycle and pedestrian involved in town centre accident

There was an accident in the early hours of Sunday morning, 15/09, in Corfu Town centre.

At approximately 12:30, near San Rocco, a motorcycle ridden by a delivery worker attempted to overtake a stationary car, resulting in it hitting a pedestrian on a crossing.

According to information from the Ambulance Service, the person injured in the incident, fortunately with minor injuries, was the motorcyclist. He was taken to Corfu Hospital with facial injuries.

The police are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident.
