Fines to be imposed for not keeping areas clean

According to well-informed sources, the Central Corfu Municipal services, supervising the compliance of businesses with the Cleanliness Regulation, will confirm violations and impose fines on businesses that violate it. This new approach is expected to begin perhaps even in the next few hours.

The implementation is entrusted to service officials equipped with the authority to carry out this responsibility.

The obvious goal is to eliminate the kind of behaviour that impacts the hard work of the Cleaning Service staff, ultimately feeding defamatory images to social media, and recently to reports by central television stations.
