Protest about water supply in South Corfu

CORFU. They are requesting, among other things, the establishment of a separate water supply and sewage authority for the area.
The protesters requested the immediate convening of the Municipal Council with the exclusive agenda of water supply and water shortages, as well as the dispatch of a cross-party committee to the Government, with the purpose of requesting the following immediate measures to address the problem:
- Emergency dispatch of teams for the repair of damages to the water supply network
- Provision of electricity from DEI and activation of the Gardikio wells
- Supply of tanks and water carriers to the reservoirs to meet needs until water flow is restored to the network from the wells
- Among other things, they are also requesting the separation of the South Corfu Water Supply Authority (DEYA South) from DIADEYAK and its transformation into a water supply service of the Municipality of South Corfu
- Activation of the Moschopoulos reservoir and water supply to the South from the Gardikio wells.
The protest, organised by the Laiki Sispirosi party, included the community presidents of Alykes, Vitalades, and Ano Pavliana, the leader of Laiki Sispirosi, members of municipal community councils, and others.
