Accident in North Corfu - two Britons on quad bike injured

CORFU. Two tourists were involved in a road accident in Northern Corfu this evening. The British couple, aged approximately 55-60 years, were riding a quad bike.

According to initial reports, the vehicle veered off course on a sharp turn in the road in the area of Agios Spyridon Thinalion, resulting in it falling into a ravine.

The Fire Department rushed to the scene with three vehicles and seven firefighters from the Thinalion Fire Station, and managed to rescue the injured man. Reports indicate that he has fractures, while the woman has abrasions.

The Ambulance Service (EKAB) was notified and transported the injured individuals to Corfu Hospital for first aid and further assessment of their condition.
