Another two members of cocaine trafficking gang to testify today

CORFU. The interrogations will continue tomorrow, Thursday, with the alleged ΄deputy chief΄.

Two more members the Greek-Albanian cocaine trafficking gang will appear today before the Corfu Investigating Magistrate.

The first is a 45-year-old Albanian woman who played the role of "caretaker" in Corfu. She was responsible for receiving narcotics from the "transporters," diluting them, distributing the quantities, and subsequently selling them to traffickers on the orders of the "leader" and the "deputy chief."

The accused, belonging to the core leadership of the criminal organisation, was among the members of the gang summoned for questioning yesterday. However, she was given an extension and is being brought again today before the Magistrate.

A 36-year-old Albanian will also be examined. He was arrested along with nine others as members of the same criminal gang.

 

'Deputy chief' tomorrow

The interrogation process will continue tomorrow, Thursday, with the alleged "deputy chief." This is a 32-year-old Albanian who pulled the strings while being incarcerated in Trikala prison. He was primarily tasked with organising the transportation of narcotics from Athens to Corfu.

The interrogation process will be concluded on Saturday, January 20, with the alleged "mastermind", a 38-year-old Albanian. The "leader" was responsible for sourcing cocaine quantities, organising the core leadership, and distributing tasks to other members by providing instructions for drug trafficking.

Up to this point, three members of the gang have been remanded in custody, two Albanians and one Greek woman.
