Dr. Maria Mandyla was given the title of "Friend of the Ionian University"

The honorary title of "Friend of the Ionian University" was awarded to Dr. Maria Mandyla-Kousouni for her long-standing support and cooperation with the Ionian University.

The award ceremony took place on December 8th, during the graduation ceremony of the Ionian University Faculty of Music and Audiovisual Arts graduates.

Mrs. Mandyla-Kousouni is a graduate of the Athens Medical School and the Ionian University Department of History, a paediatrician, historian and President of the Corfu Surgical Association.

The Ionian University stated that "Dr. Mandyla has been instrumental in fostering this excellent collaboration, tirelessly and selflessly offering the spaces where the Association is housed for a variety of creative activities, especially for conducting music and music education programmes, thus strengthening the link between the Ionian University and the local community. Moreover, she actively contributes to these activities with her cultivated, kind and generous personality. The Ionian University warmly welcomes her to its university community."
